Project – House C1

Renovation project of a detached single family house.

Situation: Bunyola

The three-storey house had some very nice traditional details, but in general the house was in poor condition and very dark. Therefore, it was decided to carry out a complete renovation, keeping some of the traditional details and combining it with a more neutral modern style, thus allowing the traditional elements to stand out, such as the hydraulic tiles or the iron railing.

On the other hand, the aim was to increase the entry of natural light. For this reason, it was decided to eliminate some rooms in the rear section on the upper two floors to achieve light and ventilation through a courtyard.

To avoid losing space on the ground floor, instead of eliminating rooms, a glass ceiling was placed in the kitchen, which also serves as the floor of the patio on the upper floor. A spacious open area was created on the ground floor for the living area. The two bedrooms are located on the first floor, each with its own en-suite bathroom.

On the second floor, a multi-purpose space was created with access to a small terrace on the roof with views of the church.
