Project – House U

New construction project of a single-family house with pool.

Situation: Cala Serena

The sea views, the orientation and the irregularly shaped plot were the initial conditions for this project. By means of a curious play of volumes, an attractive building with a modern appearance is achieved.

The building divides the outdoor space into two areas, creating an access area from the street with a landscaped space as a visual separation between the pedestrian path and the road, and a larger recreational area in front of the sea, with several terraces and an infinity pool.

A stone masonry wall made of Santanyi stone guides visitors towards the discovery of the stunning views, from the access area through the hall to the recreational area on the other side of the house. The stone adds warmth to the atmosphere of the day-live sector.

The living area is a large open space that includes a kitchen with a large island, a dining room, and a sitting area with a fireplace. From each corner of this space, one can enjoy views of the pool and the sea. For the pool, we have chosen the colours effects that blends with the one of the sea. A pergola protects the south facade of the living room from the summer sun.

One bedroom is located on the ground floor. The rest of the bedrooms are located on the upper floor. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and direct access to the outdoor terrace.
